Black is Gold
Did you know, studies have shown that Black women are less likely to seek treatment from health conditions due to beliefs, stigma and limited access to care? Additionally, the daily demands of work, family, and for some, running businesses, can take a toll on mental health when unaddressed.
Through our empowering digital art and collaborations to promote healing, we aim to shift this narrative, reminding Black women that healing from trauma and practicing self-love is a necessity. We must prioritize our well-being not just for our families but for ourselves. As the saying goes, we cannot pour from an empty cup. Black is Gold was created as a safe space where Black women are not just seen and heard, but truly embraced by a supportive community that understands these unique challenges.
Our mission is deeply rooted in the belief that our voice matters and stories deserve to be heard. Through this work, we hope to uplift and inspire, building a community where we share our journeys, support each other, and celebrate our growth.
